The issues surrounding the royal family are maybe a handful for Queen Elizabeth II. After Peter and Autumn Phillips' divorce hit the headlines last week, it was then followed by Lord Snowdon and his wife's separation. With all the divorces and departure, there are reports Her Majesty may be thankful for Prince William and Kate Middleton, who remain strong and step-up of their royal duties with everything that is happening.
The Queen is, reportedly, uncomfortable with the idea of divorce. Royal expert Ingrid Seward, Majesty Magazine's editor-in-chief, said the monarch is "sad but pragmatic" about divorces. Hence, she often urges couples to stay together despite the misunderstandings.
With the continuous separation of some royal couples, Queen Elizabeth, allegedly, relies on Prince William and Kate Middleton. Seward told OK! Magazine, via Express, that the Commonwealth leader would question her time on the throne without the Cambridges, who remain a good example despite the divorces.
"If she didn't have them, I think she might say to herself: 'Goodness, after over 70 years on the throne, it's come to nothing," she said. Queen Elizabeth feels like it is too easy to divorce. Hence, she feels the urge to step in with the latest news of separations in the monarchy.
Seward added that Queen Elizabeth used to say that couples should have to wait for two years and see if they could make their relationship work out. She would even have urged Peter and Autumn to try again.
Although she is now relying on Prince William and Kate Middleton, the two are now taking their break after upping their roles in the royal family. The two are briefly taking their time off from their royal duties to spend some time with their kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
According to Observer, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been very busy since they returned from their winter holiday. However, they intentionally kept this week free to spend some time with their children.
Prince William and Kate Middleton don't have any scheduled royal engagemetns for the next week. As it's Prince George and Princess Charlotte's official half-term break from their school, Thomas's Battersea, they may go for a vacation.
The Cambridge family may leave London and take their kids to their Sandringham country home, Anmer Hall. They usually visit Norfolk when it is their two eldest kids' vacation break. Last year, Prince William and Kate Middleton brought Prince George and Princess Charlotte to a fancy hotel spa in Norfolk to enjoy some quality pool time and organized races for their kids.
