Jungkook may be the maknae of BTS, but he is a tough guy physically and emotionally. However, when it comes to seeing his hyungs crying and wanting to make ARMYs happy, the BTS star always gets weak.
Footage from the BTS 2020 Winter Package showed Jungkook reading his letter to ARMYs and he quickly became emotional. The singer, songwriter, and record producer tried to tough it out and even smiled at his members while they were teasing him when they noticed how red his ears were. RM then said, “His letter was the most sincere” — and that’s all it took for him to finally burst into tears.
Now, Jungkook wrote another heartfelt letter to ARMYs in BTS‘s new Map of the Soul: 7 album. This time, he didn’t just express his love for the fans but shared that he even gave up some things just so he could “repay” them for their undying support.
“I’ve been getting the thought that I’m living my life while losing out on a lot of important things. As you know, I have a lot of things I want to do… Haha,” Jungkook wrote. “So I thought about it carefully, but that’s when I realized that what I shouldn’t lose out on and what I should work hard on and do properly is to sing, dance, and repay you ARMYs. As a result, I decided to give up on some other things from now on so that I can grow musically and become someone who can repay you with good music. I’ll study more and practice hard. I’ll continue to grow.”
While most celebrities who reached the superstardom status have forgotten where they came from, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook always remember how it all started.
Thanks to ARMYs, BTS is now living their dreams. And because of that, the boys feel immense gratitude towards the fans and they would do anything to let ARMYs know how much they love and appreciate them.
“Lastly, thank you for always being by my side and believing in me, and I promise to become someone who won’t let our ARMYs down. Thank you very, very much, and I love you,” Jungkook wrote.
The golden maknae also wrote a message to RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, and V. Although he was quite unsure what to write at first as he said that he talks with his members daily, he told them something that he had not told them before.
“There’s something I haven’t really said to you guys. I’m always thankful to you guys, and let’s make this last a long time. Let’s stay healthy and be happy!!!” Jungkook shared.
