It remains to be known what will be Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's next step after they officially step down as senior royals on March 31. Some believe they will be profiting in their names, but this royal expert reveals how exactly the Sussexes will earn money after they leave the monarchy.

In contrary to everyone's belief that the Duchess of Sussex will continue her Hollywood acting career, royal historian Anna Whitelock thinks she will never do so. Talking on Sky News, via Express, she said that the royal pair might likely earn their money from speaking at different events. They, too, now have the freedom to champion whatever issues they care about.

It is also good to remember that Prince Harry has his own money from the inheritance he gets from his mother, Princess Diana, and the Queen. But aside from these, as an effective speaker, he can capitalize on his talent by going to speaking events.

"I suspect some of them will be paid, but it remains to be seen," Whitelock said. However, she doesn't see Meghan Markle returning to either the small or big screen to do acting.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle can potentially be "worldwide speakers and politicians" to champion the causes they want. But, they still need to work out a lot of things after they step down as senior members of the royal family in March.

The two will be in a transitional period that will be under review for 12 months. Fans, too, may never see them in Canada full time as they plan to divide their time between the U.K. and North America.

This plan seems to oppose Prince Harry's eco-tourism initiative and the sustainable way of traveling around the world. Aside from the sixth in line to the throne, his wife, Meghan Markle, has also been criticized for talking about the importance of protecting the environment while flying in private planes and commercial flights around the world.

This is the same sentiment Piers Morgan had when he tweeted about Prince Harry's recent activity when he returned to the U.K. to finish the final rounds of his royal engagements. The Duke is now in his home country to launch the eco-friendly firm, Travalyst, which tracks the flyers' carbon emissions with its scoring system.

The Good Morning Britain host questioned why Prince Harry chose to fly to Britain to talk about carbon emissions, which seemed to contradict his initiative. In his two tweets, Piers Morgan suggested that he could have done his speech on Skype and he should practice what he preached.
