Prince Charles and Princess Diana's relationship became one of the most iconic and controversial unions in history. Starting from their first meeting and fairytale-like wedding all the way to the unfortunate divorce, they became the center of many reports.
It is not surprising, though, given their status in society both inside and outside the United Kingdom. Not to mention, the Prince of Wales is set to become the next King of England.
According to Town & Country, Netflix's The Crown Season 4 will largely take its focus on the Wales couple. Aside from the fact that Prince Charles' arc in the series ended with his heartbreak from Camilla Shand, there have been photos already circulating all over the internet showing actress, Emma Corrin, who will reportedly play the role of Princess Diana.
As added by the publication, actor Josh O'Connor, who plays the role of Prince Charles starting from Season 3, already confirmed that the new season is "very much" the Prince and Princess of Wales' years. Accordingly, many fans and followers of the royals and the series are certain that this will likely start with the former couple's first meeting in the 70s.
Some of the photos that emerged showing Princess Diana's character further hinted that the young Prince William will also appear, probably, on the latter episodes of The Crown Season 4. It is not revealed, however, until what year the new season will cover.
Nevertheless, several claims attested that the Netflix Original series will already close its doors in the fifth installment. It was then shared by Prince Charles' actor that the upcoming season will already be his last appearance on the show.
In a similar report released by Harper's Bazaar, it was said that the whole cast of the show will be changed, once again, for its fifth and final run on the platform. This is because it will focus on the more recent decades of the British Royal Family.
With these hints at hand, many fans of the show concluded that Season 4 will likely already include the start of the fall of Prince Charles and Princess Diana's marriage. Although no confirmations have been made yet, further details of the series will certainly emerge in the coming months.
The same publication also revealed that shooting and filming of The Crown Season 4 have already started since August last year. Hence, the new installment of the series is now expected to arrive in December 2020.
