RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook came from different backgrounds, but two of the main things that bonded the boys are their love for music and their passion for performing on stage. But just like everyone else, BTS is not invincible. They get sick, injured, and more, forcing them to skip the activities to focus more on their health and recovery.

Recently, ARMYs noticed that Suga was struggling during their live performance. The hashtag #GetWellSoonYoongi quickly trended on Twitter as fans expressed their concern for the rapper.

ARMYs have watched BTS “Black Swan” choreography and live videos multiple times to point out that Suga altered the step where they needed to raise both of their arms. Instead of doing so, Suga only raised his right arm while his left stayed low. (Check out the comparison clip here).

Many assumed that Suga’s shoulder injury may be acting up again. However, the 26-year-old rapper, songwriter, and record producer didn’t sit this one out and opted to perform with the rest of his members.

Now, Suga’s heartfelt Twitter post from 2016 resurfaced on Weverse that may have explained why he didn’t skip the live performance even though he was clearly in pain.

“Because I’ve already experienced not being able to perform on stage and disappointed many fans, I tried to get on stage no matter what happens. Many people tried to stop me. I cried so much knowing that I wouldn’t be able to perform on stage. But crying is losing,” Suga wrote. “For me, it’s fairly easy to hold in my sadness. But it is very hard to see the people that love me be sad. I don’t want to see sadness in the people that love me. If I could go back in time I would have gotten on that stage no matter what.”

Suga was talking about the cancellation of their Kobe, Japan concert on December 27-28, 2015 because he and V were not feeling well and needed medical care. Although the reason was valid, Suga still felt extremely guilty about it.

“During my vacation, I went to Kobe. A lot of people tried to stop me from going but I felt that I could never forgive myself if I didn’t. So off I went to Kobe,” he said. “I don’t like becoming dull. I don’t want to take for granted all the honor and love from our fans. That’s why I revisited those concert halls because I didn’t want to become dull.”
