Meghan Markle is reportedly not bringing her son Archie Harrison when she flies back to London in a matter of days. The Duchess of Sussex will be joining her husband, Prince Harry, as they do their last rounds of royal engagements for Queen Elizabeth.

According to Daily Express, Prince Harry and Meghan might not want to put their young son at risk amid the spread of Coronavirus COVID-19. Apparently, 36 individuals in the U.K. have been found to be positive while there are 24 cases in Canada.

Officials in the U.K. have advised travelers to do a self-quarantine once they are in London. Some schools in the country have also closed temporarily as students show symptoms of the virus infection.

According to Daily Mail, Queen Elizabeth is said to be "very sad" that Archie will not be back during his parents' short visit to his birthland. Her Majesty hasn't seen much of her great-grandson since they flew to Canada for the holidays in November 2019.

Archie also has limited contact with his cousins Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. The last time the royal children were publicly scene together was in July, during aa polo match with Prince Harry and Prince William. Archie, however, was barely three months old at that time.

The royal baby, whom Prince Harry and Meghan want to raise away from the media spotlight, joined his parents when they visited South Africa for their official royal tour in October 2019. Archie was also featured in the Sussex Royal Instagram on New Year's Day.

Meanwhile, the baby will be staying with his nanny at their rented home in Vancouver while Prince Harry and Meghan are in the U.K. Meghan's best friend, Jessica Mulroney, will also be keeping watch over the Sussex royals' little boy.

But Prince Harry and Meghan's decision to leave Archie behind is apparently raising more questions about this royal family's security detail. According to insiders, it's more expensive to maintain separate protective officers for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in London while their son is in a different country.

It's unclear how long Prince Harry and Meghan will be away from their second home since they will officially step back as senior members of the royal family by March 31. Reports stated that their final royal engagement is on Commonwealth Day on March 9, where they will be reunited with Prince William and Kate Middleton.
