Tom Cruise is rumored to have a new apple of his eyes: Sofia Boutella. The Mummy stars were allegedly secretly dating but Boutella's friends are worried about her new man.
According to Woman's Day, Cruise and Boutella have been dating for a month now. The two allegedly reconnected when they bumped into each other at the CAA pre-Oscar party last month.
"They took everyone at the party by surprise. When the cameras weren't turned their way, they confirmed their relationship by sharing a kiss. Then Tom sweetly brushed her hair back and they sneaked off together in a waiting car," a source told the tabloid.
The insider added the Mission Impossible actor is determined to make Sofia a part of his life to the point that he already introduced the Algerian-French actress/model to his children with Nicole Kidman. Cruise has two adopted children with the Big Little Lies actress.
The tipster added the new couple recently traveled to Paris for a romantic getaway. Then, the insider claimed Boutella's friends are worried about her new romance for two reasons. They are allegedly concerned about the 20-year age gap of the two and the Hotel Artemis actress might get brainwashed into Cruise's Scientology.
Boutella's friends supposedly urged her to seriously consider the complication that may arise from dating a man 20 years her senior. The 37-year-old actress, however, seems to be in love with Cruise and has been talking about moving in at the actor's mansion in Beverly Hill later this year.
Gossip Cop disproved Woman's Day claims. For starters, the site noted that Cruise doesn't have a mansion in Beverly Hills or anywhere in LA. Apparently, the 57-year-old A-list actor sold his Los Angeles property three years ago.
He, later on, bought a penthouse apartment in Clearwater, Florida, near the Church of Scientology's headquarters. Cruise stays in Florida if he is not traveling to film a movie.
Gossip Cop added that it also checked in with a source close to the situation, who confirmed that Cruise and Boutella are not in any romantic relationship. The former co-stars indeed ran into each other during the pre-Oscars party but they just exchanged greetings and nothing more.
Gossip Cop also noted that Woman's Day has a habit of linking Cruise to any actress that he was spotted chatting with at any award show. In December, the tabloid also claimed that Cruise was pursuing a romance with Downton Abbey actress Michelle Dockery after they sat next to each other at the British Fashion Awards.
