Meghan Markle started her career in the entertainment world as a briefcase model on the game show Deal or No Deal. She then became a struggling actress before landing the role of Rachel Zane in Suits.
As for Prince Harry, he was born royal. He’s the younger son of Prince Charles, who is the heir apparent to the British throne, and Princess Diana, who was loved by many and called the “People’s Princess.”
It is safe to say that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s backgrounds are quite the opposite. However, the pair merged both worlds when they met, got married, and started a family of their own.
Now, the couple decided that royal life is not for them anymore. And because of that, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced back in January that they will be stepping down as senior royal to focus more on their family and charities.
Following their announcement, Buckingham Palace released a statement that Queen Elizabeth supported Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision and they then moved to Canada. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently returned to the UK to complete their last engagements as senior royals. They will officially be stripped off from their titles on March 31.
With that said, former editor of The Sun, Kelvin Mackenzie, believes that Prince Harry’s life will drastically change. He said that while Meghan Markle started from the bottom to the top, he started from the top to bottom. Kelvin even went on to say that the Duke of Sussex will end up as a “butler.”
“I’ve never seen anybody so welcomed to our country as Meghan. Honestly, it was fantastic. I will always remember her mother in that carriage heading towards Windsor Castle, it was a fantastic scene. I wonder what the mother thought at that time and I massively admire Meghan. She came from nothing and ended up at the top,” he said. “Harry, started at the top, ending up down the bottom. It’s a very funny thing. He’s going to end up as a butler. When the phone rings, it won’t be for him. That marriage will last shorter than some of mine.”
Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle released an explosive statement on their website after learning that they will be banned from using their Sussex Royal trademark in any of their future projects. A close friend of the former actress then claimed that “she and Harry will continue to rise above jealousy and pettiness and focus on the good they are creating and on being the best parents to Archie.”
