Many believed that Queen Elizabeth has a different kind of relationship with Prince William and Prince Harry. While Her Majesty sees the Duke of Cambridge as the future King of England, therefore her mentor instinct always kicks in, she has a less serious bond with the younger Prince.
It is safe to say that even though Prince William and Prince Harry are all grown up, they are still close to Queen Elizabeth. But things may change between the Monarch and the Duke of Sussex as the latter decided to turn his back on the Royal family.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced back in January that they will be stepping down as senior royals to focus more on their family and charities. Despite the shocking news, Queen Elizabeth supported their decision and the couple served their final royal engagement on Monday for the annual Commonwealth Service at London's Westminster Abbey.
A body language expert claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had different emotions during their last Royal engagement with Queen Elizabeth. Patti Wood said that the Duke of Sussex looked “concerned” while the former actress was “relaxed.”
"If you look at her hand, she's holding on to the paper, but you notice how relaxed her fingers are and how open the fingers are,” the body language expert said. She's not tensely holding the paper. It's very relaxed. That says that she's fine. She's okay. It's all good."
Patti Wood then noted that Meghan Markle’s relaxed manner can’t be said the same for Prince Harry. She claimed that the Duke of Sussex seemed to be incredibly tense.
"But when you go to him, if you look, his head is downcast, and he's trying,” she said. “He's looking at his grandma. If you look at the eyebrows in that photo, it's concerned," continues Wood. It's more you wouldn't know he's the grandson in that photo—you would think he was some sort of subservient in a greater way. It shows a change in his status, his feelings. It's not negative. It's just revealing.”
Meanwhile, a previous report revealed that Prince Harry misses Prince William and Kate Middleton but Meghan Markle was allegedly unfazed with their strained relationship.
“Meghan isn’t as fazed as Harry because she’s been estranged from her family before. Harry misses his brother and Kate, but there’s too much mud under the bridge at this point for any meaningful communication,” the source said. “These early days with Archie are so precious. They’re really happy to be raising him outside of the public eye, for now at least.”
