It is known by many that Meghan Markle doesn’t have a good relationship with her family. So when they say something negative about Prince Harry’s wife, it is quite expected. However, some of their comments are still quite shocking.
For instance, Meghan Markle’s brother Thomas Markle Jr. said that his sister made “a joke of the Royal Family.” He believed that Prince Harry’s wife didn’t leave a positive impact at all.
“Well, who goes in there and changes rules and changes protocols and has all these wait staff quit on her and all these people quit on her because she has got to be really difficult,” Thomas Markle Jr. said. “I would love to be a fly on the wall in the Palace and listen to people sit around and have a few cocktails talking about her.”
Meghan Markle’s brother was talking about the former actress being branded as “Duchess Difficult” after a series of resignations happened just a few months she and Prince Harry got married. It was previously reported that the Duchess of Sussex was hard to work for, garnering her that nickname from some quarters of the palace.
Meghan Markle and Thomas Markle Jr.’s tensed relationship was proven even more when the latter wrote an open letter to Prince Harry, asking him to call off the wedding because “Meghan Markle is obviously not the right woman for you.”
"I'm confused why you don't see the real Meghan that the whole world now sees,” he wrote. “Meghan's attempt to act the part of a princess like a below C average Hollywood actress is getting old."
Thomas Markle Jr. is not the only member of the Markle clan that has publicly spoken about Prince Harry’s wife. In fact, their dad, Thomas Markle Sr. previously called the Duchess of Sussex “embarrassing” and revealed that she’s not the girl he raised.
Thomas Markle said that he’s embarrassed that his daughter and Prince Harry ditched their roles as senior royals. As if that’s not enough, he said that Meghan Markle “cheapened” the royal family.
“When they got married they took on an obligation, and the obligation is to be part of the Royals and to represent the Royals,” Thomas Markle said. “And it would be foolish for them not to. This is one of the greatest long-living institutions ever. They are destroying it, they are cheapening it, making it shabby. They shouldn’t be doing this."
