The NBA is on pause and there is no telling what the future holds for the 2019-20 season. The usual calendar of activities is likely to be moved, meaning the summer may not be entirely for offseason moves. Regardless, teams who are looking to bolster their lineup are expected to be mapping out plans as early as now.

One team that could is expected to take chances are the Cleveland Cavaliers. The one-time NBA defending champions are still searching for identity and part of that is housing players who can push the Cavs back towards respectable levels. The task of doing that falls in the hands of new head coach JB Bickerstaff.

Bickerstaff took over from an ineffective John Beilein recently. A new face in the mix is Andre Drummond, someone who said he would rather test free agency than play under the Michigan Wolverines head coach. The 26-year-old has yet to air his feelings for Bickerstaff, something that would have come out if the season was not put on hold.

Regardless, there is a chance that Drummond could walk and leave Cleveland with a big hole in the middle. One player who they could inquire about again is Myles Turner. According to Cleveland.com, the Cavs had inquired about the 23-year-old center but it seems obvious the Pacers were not interested in deals for Turner. Depending on how Indiana's campaign goes, they could listen to what the Cavs have in mind.

In the eyes of some critics, Turner and Domantas Sabonis may have a problem in the long run. Both initially struggled to co-exist but it appears head coach Nate McMillan has found a solution. The only problem is that Turner had to sacrifice, a reason why his numbers are slightly below his career averages. If the Pacers fail to impress in the playoffs, the Cavs could have a chance to pitch something for the 6-foot-11 center.

Seeing how Turner is just in the first year of a four-year $80 million contract, convincing Indiana to trade the young center will not be easy. Drummond or someone else on the Cavs' side could be dangled if Cleveland is strongly interested in taking in turner.

However, take note that this is a possible scenario in the event that Drummond walks. With most of the players now happy with Bickerstaff, the Cavs could have a great core right now. Joining Drummond upfront is Tristan Thompson and Kevin Love. Both are ably backed by young guards Collin Sexton and Darius Garland. On paper, the Cavs look formidable and could be one of the surprise teams next NBA season.
