For those planning to get hold of the next-generation iPad Pro models, several new features have now come out in the open. Among the updated specs of the upcoming Apple, tablet includes A12Z Bionic chips, dual camera setups, 6 GB of RAM, Ultra-Wideband chips and a new LIDAR Scanner for virtual reality. It will also come with a Magic Keyboard which means 2020 iPad Pros will have a trackpad for the first time.

The list of new features that the upcoming iPad Pro model offers should further spur excitement. But it appears that there is moreover the horizon. There are other features to look forward to, mostly hidden for now. But per 9 to 5 Mac, iOS 13.4 provides teasers of what these would be.

It should be best to note that the 6 GB RAM was present in the 2018 iPad Pro but only for the ones with 1 TB capacity. Most tablets back then were equipped with 4 GB of RAM but it appears all 2020 iPad Pro models will have 6 GB of RAM among its base configurations. The Ultra Wideband chip also deserves special mention. This feature was first introduced in the iPhone 11, 11 Pro and Pro Max so its integration to the iPad Pro will be worth checking out.

One feature that has yet to gain some clarity is the U1 chip. For those who may not be familiar with it, the U1 chip was meant for indoor positioning - similar to a GPS at the scale of a living room. On an iPhone, this would allow users to AirDrop for direct file-sharing to another iPhone. It should be a handy feature for the iPad Pro but it appears there is no clarity if it will be among the striking new features of the 2020 iPad Pro models coming out, Mac Rumors reported.

Regardless, the features revealed by Apple, for now, would suffice with possibly more getting unraveled in the coming months. With the coronavirus paralyzing the globe, it will be interesting if the Cupertino company will be releasing them as scheduled.

In a previous post, it was mentioned how a 12.9-inch iPad Pro was believed to be coming out this month. And while that lacks confirmation, Apple would have still had problems in terms of stocks on hand. By now, the COVID-19 situation has gotten worse and this will likely push the release date a bit - not only for the iPad Pro but all of Apple's new offerings.
