Apple knows that it has to do something to improve demand for its iPads soon. And it appears the Cupertino has that in mind with reports that it will come out with a 12.9-inch iPad Pro next month. Though there is likely to be supply shortages due to component availability, this new 12-inch iPad Pro model that will feature a rear-end three lends of ToF 3D sensor should be something to see.

The coronovirus has paralyzed several companies over in China but it appears suppliers tied up to the 12-inch iPad Pro have already produced sufficient components, Digitimes reported. There were no numbers as far as how many units would be made available, meaning folks who want to get their hands on Apple's latest tablet will have to do so ahead of the pack.

Though the existence of a 12.9-inch iPad Pro has yet to be made official, it is seen as a move by the Cupertino company to try and help in the iPad shipment numbers. In 2019, iPad shipments were pegged at 44 million units, a bit lower than the tablets they sold in 2018.

Seeing an iPad Pro with a bigger screen and new camera technology should make it a device worth waiting for. While most have already heard of the triple lens camera, the bigger screen is what is arousing the curiosity of most. Apple Insider suggests that there could be reduced bezels around the screen to allow the bigger screen size. Apple has done this before with its other variants. That includes the 10.2-inch (from 9.7-inch) iPad and iPad Pro.

The new family of iPad Pros should be interesting. Considering they have a 10.2-, 11- and 12.9-inch variants, the usually smaller iPad Pro could end up having options that are nearer to the size of the iPad's larger one.

Aside from the bigger screen and triple camera, the 2020 iPad Pro is likely to have other notable features. Inside, it will likely make use of an A13X Bionic processor something that comes fairly close to the iPhone 11's A13 processor. Over that, other potential features remain unofficial.

This includes possibly seeing the iPad Pro with a 5G connectivity option and a new kind of Smart keyboard. The supporting, memory, storage, accessories and other special features remain unknown although most of that may be revealed in the coming days. If a 12.9-inch iPad Pro is truly coming, expect the rumor mill to be plagued by more updates in the coming weeks.
