Unai Emery remains idle since being dismissed as the manager for Arsenal FC. The 48-year-old Spaniard hardly made progress with the Gunners the last 18 months, forcing Arsenal to call on Mikel Arteta to replace him at the helm.

For those following the progress of Arsenal FC, it would be safe to say that Arteta has turned things around. Though not dramatic, the Gunners are performing a whole lot better and some players are motivated to play under the tutelage of the 37-year-old former Arsenal midfielder. Several players have found a new lease in life, namely Shkodran Mustafi and David Luiz. Right now, they are some of the notable names who admitted they are having fun under the Spanish coach.

As for Emery, some team is expected to pick him up soon. And in an article put up by Football.london, it appears the Spanish coach has not fallen short of offers. He admits having received several offers from different regions but it appears some teams over in Italy are keen on getting him to handle them.

"I did have some contact with several Italian clubs, but for one reason or another, it was not possible to work here. I am open to everything and keep a very close eye on Serie A," Emery said.

Out of respect, Emery did not reveal the names of the teams who have approached him. But the only thing that seems certain is that the 48-year-old would be back to managing/ coaching soon. After a forgettable 18 months with Arsenal, Emery will be looking to prove to critics that his system remains reliable. However, he would also need to adjust to the new environment he may inherit if he wants to have a longer stay wherever he may end up.

Emery has lashed back at Arsenal for its culture. He bashed the attitude of players when he was still calling the shots and it seems that this was a major reason why he never really established success with the Gunners. To back up his case, he used the transfer of Aaron Ramsey to Juventus as an example.

"I complimented him on his choice because he picked a club where he can win a great deal. It’s an interesting challenge for him," Emery said.

But then again, Ramsey is just one player. As previously mentioned, some players have spoken up and responded to Arteta. It may be something most will keep an eye on if Emery does return to manage soon.
