Prince William and Kate Middleton are going to have a considerable responsibility to the British public. With the coronavirus pandemic not yet slowing down, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expected to boost the morale of the people when Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles won't be able to do it as they are vulnerable to the virus.

According to royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams, the movement of Prince William and Kate will be closely followed in the next few weeks, not just by their royal fans but also the media. People will be looking for them with keen interest as they successfully communicate some key messages in this public health crisis.

The royal expert said that even as Prince Harry and Meghan have been visible on social media since many countries imposed their lockdowns, the people will still want to hear from for Prince William and Kate for comfort and assurance.  Prince William and Kate are actually slowly doing what is expected of them when they visited the NHS call centre to talk to the people in rescue emergency units. Fitzgerald said that it really mattered to the NHS staff to see the royals so interested in what they do as it boosted their morale.

The Duke of Cambridge, however, is no stranger to emergency rescues since he worked as an ambulance helicopter pilot before becoming a full time working royal. But the visit still sent a message on behalf Queen Elizabeth as Prince William and Kate showed the people they can rely on the royal family.

Fitzgerald also mentioned that Prince William focused on giving value to local communities. It's these communities that will be able to help those affected by the coronavirus.  Prince William encouraged that people donate their resources to the National Emergencies Trust. In fact, the Duke of Cambridge is the first member of the royal family to set up a fundraising to help the victims affected by COVID-19.

Meanwhile, Prince William, Kate and the Cambridge kids -- Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis -- have been staying in Anmer Hall as the U.K. government issued an order to stay at home. The Cambridges chose to stay at their country estate so that the kids will have more room to play, including outdoors.

Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip are also in isolation at their country estate in Windsor Castle. Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, on the other hand, flew to Birkhall in the Scottish Highlands.
