Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox have been best of friends for years. It is not hard to imagine that they could have planned to have a double wedding at one time in their lives. But it was not the case this time.

Woman's Day published a story this week with a headline, "Double wedding for Jen & Court!" The tabloid alleged Aniston and Cox are planning to have their weddings at once because of the ongoing coronavirus lockdown. A source of the outlet claimed the actresses have no choice but to combine their wedding and to keep it low-key.

"Jen and Courteney have had their big celebrity weddings... so it's crazy to not combine, especially as Brad and Johnny get on so well," the source said.

It added that the Friends co-stars are planning to make their double wedding a dinner party and are looking into Jen's mansion in Beverly Hills as the location of the special event. The insider said Aniston's estate has an amazing garden that can hold a double wedding.

Gossip Cop debunked the rumor, stressing Courteney and John are the only real couple in the story. Brad and Jen are not back together, more so planning a wedding.

The former spouses remain to have a platonic relationship and it did not change even after their recent encounter at the SAG Awards earlier this year. The publication also checked in with Aniston's rep who also dismissed Woman's Day's story.

As for Cox, she was previously engaged to McDaid. They called off their engagement in 2015 but later on, decided to stay together. At the moment, the Cougar Town star doesn't seem to have a plan to revisit her earlier wedding planning.

In the previous interview with the actress, she admitted that things are much better between her and the Snow Patrol musician after they broke off their engagement. Cox said their long-distance relationship is also working just fine for them. Courteney currently lives in Malibu, California while McDaid is based in London.

Aniston, on the other hand, is taking social distancing seriously at the moment. She recently sent a birthday greeting and virtual hug to her friend and The Morning Star co-star Reese Witherspoon. It showed that despite both of them are living in California, they choose to stay home than see each other in person and celebrate.

Meanwhile, Aniston and Pitt have been rumored to have married or are preparing to exchange vows for months now since they renewed their friendship. There have been speculations that the two tied the knot during the Christmas party that Jen hosted at her home.

There were also rumors that the ex-spouses are planning a wedding in Cabo, Mexico or at Brad and Angelina Jolie's Château Miraval in France. Nothing of these have proven to be true.
