OnePlus Pay is now available for all users in China. The new mobile payment service set to compete with Google Pay was announced in September 2019, and a global release shouldn't be far from happening.

OnePlus Pay's partners in China included SPDB, Minsheng Bank, and Guangfa Bank. SPBD and Guangfa Bank credit cards are also supported. The new payment service only works with OnePlus 7T phones for now, but support for the smartphone-maker's older models should arrive soon

Owners of the OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro devices should find OnePlus Pay inside the Wallet app, but for quicker access, simply double-press the power button and the payment service should appear.

OnePlus hasn't put out a word yet about a global release. The company also didn't announce a timeline for the launch. Word is that there will be a product launch sometime next month, and while the event is intended for upcoming flagship phones, we might as well expect some announcements pertaining to the new mobile payment service.

By April, we should see the company's new line of flagship devices, specifically the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus Pro. It has been confirmed by CEO Pete Lau that the upcoming series will support 5G.

There's no official launch date yet, but as with most smartphone launch events, leaks often make it ahead. The most recent leaks come from Ishan Agarwal, who tweeted spec sheets of the OnePlus 8 series.

The Standard OnePlus 8 is believed to have three cameras on the back with a 48MP primary sensor, and a single hole-punch cutout encasing a selfie camera with a 16MP sensor. Its 6.55-inch FHD+ screen has a 90Hz refresh rate and its guts, a Snapdragon 865 processor paired with up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 3.0 storage.

As for the more expensive OnePlus 8 Pro, the display will be a bit bigger at 6.78 inches, featuring a QHD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It has the same chipset as the standard version, a Snapdragon 865, but has a better 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.0 storage.

The OnePlus 8 Pro will feature a 4,510mAh battery that can be charged with or without a wire. The back cameras are a quad-cam set up with a 48MP primary sensor, while the selfie camera is at 16MP. And oh, it has IP68 water resistance too.

More OnePlus info will be posted once available.
