Senior members of the British Royal Family, like Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles, have been observing social distancing and self-isolation since the United Kingdom's government has advised the public to do so. This came after the confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country have continued to dramatically increase in recent weeks.

Unfortunately, the Prince of Wales tested positive for the virus last week. This news shocked the world as he became the first and only British royal yet, who contracted the virus.

Shortly after learning the result of his test, reports noted that Prince Charles left the Clarence House to self-isolate at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, where he is known as the Duke of Rothesay. For seven days, he was quarantined as he was showing "mild symptoms" as well.

Thankfully, the Clarence House just announced that the Heir Apparent is now "out of self-isolation," according to CNN News. As it happens, he just accomplished his seven-day isolation and is now "on the mend."

While his wife, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall tested negative for COVID-19, she is required to self-quarantine for two weeks as she has been living with Prince Charles. Her self-isolation will reportedly end by this week.

It remains unknown how the Prince of Wales contracted the virus. But, reports noted that he attended several engagements prior to the manifestation of the symptoms and there is no direct way to trace the source. Nevertheless, all those who met and contacted Prince Charles in the last few weeks are, reportedly, observing self-isolation as well including Queen Elizabeth II.

In a similar report released by Harper's Bazaar, it was said that the Queen met with her son on March 12. This, reportedly, caused huge concerns as the monarch is very vulnerable to contracting the virus, as well.

While the risk is apparent, it was revealed that experts already "ruled out" the likelihood of Prince Charles infecting Queen Elizabeth II. As explained, the Prince of Wales had only started to become contagious on March 13 basing on the timeline of his condition.

No further comments were shared about the current status of the other members of the British Royal Family. But, Buckingham Palace was said to have ensured the public that the head of the British Monarch "remains in good health."

Aside from the royals, several UK officials have also tested positive for COVID-19 including the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson. UK's total number of infected individuals has now reached 22,141 with 1,408 deaths.
