The days of the buggy iOS 13 is finally over. Though Apple has tried to address the bugs that came with it, the reality of it all is that it will no longer be signed by the Cupertino company. iOS 13.4 officially came out last Mar. 24 and now most are advised to upgrade to enjoy the new features. For those who continued to experience problems with iOS 13.3.1, it seems to be the plausible way to go.

As most know, Apple makes it a standard to stop signing previous iOS versions once a new one comes out. This is to encourage device owners to make use of the latest operating system despite worries that new problems may come out, Mac Rumors reported. Frustrating as it may sound, that too has become like a norm for the Cupertino company although some OS versions come with fewer problems.

Among the new features to expect from iOS 13.4 include a new Mail toolbar, iCloud Folder Sharing, new Emoji stickers, trackpad support for iPads and more. In the last OS, the only notable (but minor) update it had was disabling the U1 chip for the iPhone 11 series.

As for iOS 13.4, the question now remains - what is there to worry about? Sad to say, the latest Apple mobile operating system will still come with bugs. From the list that will follow, it will be up to iPhone users on whether to hit the update button or not, Gizmodo UK reported.

One bug that was carried on from iOS 13.1.1is the issue where data can be accessed even if a virtual private network (VPN) is used. This is an issue that dates back to December and Apple has yet to issue a fix for it. Aside from that, there are other things to take note of. This includes:

  • Bluetooth connections
  • Third-party iPad keyboard issues
  • Virtual keyboard issues
  • Assistive touch issues
  • Hotspot problems
  • Dual-SIM devices displaying one ISP
  • Control Centre display issues

As far as fixes are concerned, iOS 13.4 does come with a (minor) one. For those who were having trouble using the "+" sign on Safari, that problem has been fixed. It may not be much but a big help to the ones who love to visit sites that have the "+" sign (i.e. Disney+).

For those who plan to move up to iOS 13.4, all you have to do is head to your device settings and check out the software update. This can be done over the air and do make sure that your phone is properly charged to prevent corrupt installations.
