Kate Middleton is considered to be a fashion icon. The Duchess of Cambridge is beautiful, tall, with a modelesque figure, and a great style.

That being said, people are always keen on what Kate Middleton is wearing — clothes, shoes, and accessories. Although the Duchess of Cambridge looked absolutely gorgeous in her pink suit when she and Prince William visited an NHS center in South London to support the frontline workers, eagle-eyed fans noticed that she was not wearing her engagement ring.

"Kate wasn't wearing her engagement ring in the photo,” royal commentator Zoe Burrell pointed out. Royal expert Angela Mollard said that there’s an explanation as to why Kate Middleton made the choice to leave her ring at home. ”That's right and there's a reason for that. Both of those occasions, the visit to the ambulances and working from home. You can't imagine she's going to be wearing that ring all the time. It's a massive ring that Sapphire engagement ring which of course was Princess Diana’s.”

Angela Mollard noted that it would be a lot easier for Kate Middleton to constantly wash her hands, which is heavily advised during the coronavirus pandemic, without her engagement ring on.

“She's not wearing it because of course rings are difficult when you're regularly handwashing. In fact, studies show that the bacteria gets caught in rings,” she said. ”I imagine that's the reason she's not wearing them, either the sapphire engagement ring or her white gold eternity ring. It's just the very plain Welsh gold wedding band at the moment, very sensible."

The royal expert also claimed that Kate Middleton’s outfit had a secret meaning behind it. It’s no secret that Kate Middleton looks amazing in anything that she wears, making these outfits sell out in a matter of minutes. And it seems that she’s using her recent look to connect with the women in the UK.

"William and Kate visited the ambulance service with the NHS. I love the fact that Kate was wearing a pink Marks and Spencer suit. It was absolutely gorgeous, but I love the fact it wasn't designer. It just said 'I am one of you,’” she said. “She can afford to wear anything she likes but I love the fact that it was normal. A Marks and Spencer suit is what women in London really wear to work. She was effectively doing that."
