Prince Harry and Meghan Markle officially left their roles as senior members of the royal family on March 31. As they are now non-working royals, what privileges the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are going to miss after leaving the monarchy?

No British Office

The couple's royal offices are now closed after they decided to abdicate their places. According to New Idea, as soon as they made their decision to step back as full-time senior royals, they told their royal staff about it and ensured there would be a smooth transition for all of them.

No Commonwealth Fund

As Prince Harry and Meghan Markle want to be financially independent, Express Daily noted that they would "no longer receive funding from the Sovereign Grant." However, they will still receive money from Prince Charles, whose income from Cornwall accounted for 95 percent of their spending.

Paying Back Taxpayers' Money

Before the Sussexes moved into their Frogmore Cottage home, it was renovated for $3 million of British taxpayers' money. So, after they decided to leave the monarchy, Queen Elizabeth II, reportedly, asked them to pay for the renovation bill. The two promised to give back the taxpayers' money that the public also demanded.

No Security Provisions

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently moved to Los Angeles from Canada. Now that they are in the United States, President Donald Trump made it clear in a tweet that the U.S. would "not pay for their security protection." The pair's representative later cleared that they had no intention to ask for the country's money to pay for their security cost, as they would make private security arrangements.

Future Babies Will Be No Longer A Royal

If ever the two will have babies in the future, they will not be considered royal babies anymore, Insider explained. It is also more likely that the kids will not be given official royal memorabilia to mark their birth. So, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor's siblings will never experience the same celebration he had when he was born or even had the official royal memorabilia from the Buckingham Palace gift store.

No Protection From The Paparazzi

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's decision to leave their royal lives was because they wanted to avoid the media. However, the paparazzi will now have the free reign to cover them.

The British newspapers' agreement with Buckingham Palace not to use paparazzi photos of the royal family no longer covers them. Hence, photos of the former actress and her son's private walk were published. As Prince Harry and Meghan Markle now live closer to Hollywood, it is not far that agencies and reporters will often follow them.
