Due to the coronavirus outbreak in the United Kingdom, the Government advised people over 70 years old to self-isolate. There is also an order of a lockdown in the country, so everyone has to stay at home and practice social distancing, including members of the royal family Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall. The royal couple is now at Birkhall on the Balmoral Estate in Scotland, but when this is all over, they will return to their official residence at Clarence House, which screams elegance and beauty, showing their regal life.

Clarence House is the former home of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, along with the Queen Mother. The latter stayed there until the time of her death in 2002, New Idea noted.

It has been the official residence of Prince Charles since 2003, even before he officially got married to Camilla in 2005. This is also where Prince William used to live, from 2003 to April 2011, and Prince Harry previously resided from 2003 to 2012. Princess Diana also moved in here before the announcement of her engagement to the Duke of Cornwall until they got married in 1981.

Now, Clarence House becomes the official office of Prince Charles and Camilla, where they accept visitors in the U.K. and hold receptions. It is filled with photographs of the royal family, historical artworks, and books.

The London-based royal residence held a lot of memories for the Prince of Wales. It was where he spent the first part of his childhood before they moved to Buckingham Palace when Queen Elizabeth became the leader of the Commonwealth.

It was built between 1825 and 1827 and designed by the British architect John Nash. It stood tall during the WWII. Although it sustained damage during the bombing raids, it underwent extensive repairs.

Clarence House opens its doors to the public every month of August each year. People will be given a chance to tour the place and see its five rooms and adjoining spaces on the ground floor, according to Homes to Love.

Now, with the help of Google technology, fans don't have to wait for August to come as they can take a 3D virtual tour of the place. On his 70th birthday, Prince Charles allowed his home to be permanently open, although not literally but virtually.

Here, fans will be welcomed to the Entrance Hall, where visitors are first greeted by a collection of ceramics, arts, and photographs. Then, they will be taken to the Lancaster room, which also serves as the guests' waiting room.

Clarence House also has a morning room, the breakfast room where the royal family's official photographs were taken. Next is the library, Queen Mother's favorite place; the dining room, where Prince Charles holds large meetings; the horse corridor; and the garden room, which gives them a beautiful view of the garden, thus the name.
