Prince Harry and Meghan Markle officially left their royal titles. They now bid their final goodbye as full-time working senior royals on their now-inactive Instagram account, Sussex Royal. As the Duchess of Sussex is no longer a senior royal and can do things on her way, is it possible for her to have her own personal account back?
The former actress used to have an Instagram account under her name, Meghan Markle. Here, she shared photos of her busy life in Toronto, her travel history, and her dog, Bogart. But when she got engaged to the Duke of Cambridge, she had to deactivate her page to follow the royal family's rules and protocols.
Now that Meghan Markle stepped down as a senior royal, she is now free to reactivate her old account or even create a new one. However, according to Daily Express, it is more likely that she and Prince Harry will stick to their brand to promote their upcoming non-profit organization and other charitable works and endeavors.
On March 30, the couple made their final post on Sussex Royal and as senior members of the royal family. They thanked everyone for the continuous support they have received. "Thank you to this community for the support, the inspiration, and the shared commitment to the good in the world," the shared photo read.
In a lengthy caption, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle revealed that they are focusing on this new chapter of their lives "to understand how they can best contribute." Although their followers may no longer see them on Sussex Royal, they promised that their work would continue.
With their last post, Hello! Magazine noted that there was a huge difference on this one compared to their previous posts. As they will no longer actively use their HRH titles, they now ditched the formality. They simply signed their goodbye as "Harry and Meghan," which differed from their previous signed off as "Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Sussex" last Christmas.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's post came a day before they were set to officially leave their royal duties, three months after they dropped their bombshell announcement. Aside from not posting on Sussex Royal anymore, they, too, will not be updating their Sussex Royal website.
However, their spokesperson told People that both of their said websites would remain existing online "for the foreseeable future." Hence, when fans feel like missing Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, they can visit their pages anytime.
