Malia Obama is currently attending Harvard University. But this has been shaded by doubts because of some tabloid reports that alleged the eldest daughter of former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama was involved in a college admission scandal.

The Globe previously reported that Malia got caught up in a bribery scandal at Harvard. It was, allegedly, the same college admissions scandal that Desperate Housewives star Felicity Huffman and Full House actress Lori Loughlin got caught up into more than a year ago.

Malia has been accused of such because of her and her mother's association with Gordon Ernst. The Georgetown University tennis coach was charged in March 2019 for pocketing $2.7 million as payoffs for getting unqualified students into elite schools as members of the tennis team.

According to the sources of Globe, who claimed to be Harvard students, Malia has been the center of campus gossip that she may be involved in the same college admission scandal after Ernst's connection to Michelle and her daughter was revealed. The insider added when the students learned about a multimillion-dollar "unnamed" donor, many thought it could be the former first daughter.

"Malia is mortified about being dragged into the largest scandal in college admissions history. She's humiliated, to say the least. It's not like she could defend herself - if she says anything at all, it'll backfire, and she knows it," one of the sources said.

The tabloid also mentioned its previous article about a house party at Martha's Vineyard that Malia, allegedly, attended and bailed before cops "raided" the house. Her Secret Service detail, allegedly, swooped her out of the house before the police arrived, leaving the other students in there.

Gossip Cop pointed out this made the alleged "Harvard students" sources of Globe even more suspicious. The outlet suspected that tarnishing Malia's reputation by linking her to the admission scandal could be their way of getting back at her.

The truth about Malia's admission to Harvard University has nothing to do with Ernst or being a tennis recruit or athletic recruit of any kind. She got admitted in 2016 but decided to take a gap year following her high school graduation. Both of her parents went to Harvard Law School.

The Ivy League institutions, such as Harvard, are known for legacy preference or legacy admission. This means they do accept college applicants on the basis of their familial relationship to alumni of that institution. Most likely Malia being the daughter of the 44th President of the United States contributed to her admission rather than her connection to Ernst.
