Most are advised to stay indoors and practice social distancing to curb down the COVID-19 virus. Personalities all over the world like Kyle Walker have joined the call to do so although the 29-year-old may want to start by practicing what he preaches. The English right-back drew a lot of flak after he reportedly held a sex party at his flat despite calls for everyone to isolate themselves amid the pandemic.

According to the Sun, Walker held a three-hour sex session at his place even with the government issuing guidelines on the COVID-19 pandemic. For his insensitive deeds, he now faces stiff sanctions from both the league and Manchester City. As of this writing, the penalties he stands to face have yet to be known.

But no thanks to his actions, his future could be in jeopardy as well. Two known personalities have condemned his actions, both speaking their mind. One of them is Ian Holloway, a former Crystal Palace, and QPR boss who has urged Pep Guardiola to throw the book at Walker. The timing of his actions came at a time when the City boss lost his mother, Dolors Sala Carro, to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"The reality of that and then you have one of your players… it’s almost brainless. ‘What on earth are you doing having a party like that? It’s bang out of order," Holloway said.

Also pretty upset with Walker's actions is Gareth Southgate. He vowed never to select the 29-year-old again for the Three Lions, reiterating that he does not tolerate players who step out of line, Fox Sports reported.

Walker has since apologized for his actions, admitting that he needs to do better if he is to be a good role model, Fox Sports reported. Being the one who issued the call to stay indoors before his malicious actions, it may take time for Manchester City fans and football personalities to forget his wrongdoings.

League officials have better things to do right now as they asses the current season. Football action is indefinitely suspended and most are wary of what the future holds. After initially announcing that they will finish this season, the chances of seeing that have now gotten dimmer. Related to that is the fate of some players who hold expiring contracts. There are a lot of things to worry about right now and the unfortunate actions of Walker couldn't have come at a worse time.
