Being married to the future King of the United Kingdom is not easy. But, Kate Middleton has been repeatedly praised for her dedication and commitment to the British Monarchy as the Duchess of Cambridge. As deemed by experts and fans, she is an "excellent" and hard-working royal.

The Cambridge couple started their romance about a decade before their wedding in 2011. They, reportedly, met at the University of St Andrews where they both studied their respective degree programs.

While it was said the Duke and Duchess both took up Art History as their major, this was not the entirety of the picture. As reported, Kate Middleton revealed that she started off doing a major far from the History of Art.

According to Elle, the Duchess of Cambridge came to the university in Scotland to take up psychology. She even, reportedly, shared that the university was not her first choice as she intended to attend her college days at the University of Edinburgh.

Later on, though, she decided to go to Scotland and took up psychology. She became friends with Prince William, who was said to take up Art History at that time.

By the second semester, things changed as they started to date. Although it was not stated when they both changed their majors, Kate Middleton switched to Art History while her soon-to-be husband changed his major to Geography.

Aside from their college degrees, the Duchess of Cambridge also, reportedly, revealed that she had a "job" on the side while studying. It was said that she shared this with Mary Berry during her and her husband's recent engagement for the BBC Special, A Berry Royal Christmas.

As per Cheat Sheet, Kate Middleton said that she did a bit of "waitressing" in the university. She added that she used to be a "server in college." When asked by Mary Berry, though, if she was "any good," she, reportedly, responded that she was "terrible."

The publication then revealed that this was not the only job that the Duchess had before becoming an official member of the British Royal Family. It was said that she used to work for her parents' company, which is a "multi-million dollar business" that her mother has built in the 80s. Afterward, she also, reportedly, worked for Jigsaw, a design company in London.

But, despite having challenges when it comes to choosing the right job to work on, it was said that she eventually found her calling in advocating for children's wellbeing and development.
