Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided that being senior royals are not for them anymore and announced earlier this year that they will be stepping down from their roles. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex then briefly resided in Canada after their shocking announcement before heading to Los Angeles.

As Prince Harry is settling in his new Hollywood lifestyle, he was welcomed by an LA resident with graffiti artwork. Previous reports revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were not welcome in Canada, but it seems like they are getting a bit more love in Los Angeles.

“Awesome to have such a cool couple living in LA now - they seem to be adjusting nicely - Harry walking pups wearing his old Megxit hoodie that still comes in handy,” the caption read. (Check out the photo here).

The artist’s name is Keith Biele, and he explained that he made the artwork of Prince Harry in a blue sweater with the slogan “Be Calm and Wash Hands” after President Donald Trump tweeted that the US will not pay for the couple’s security protection. He said he found it comical that the President welcomed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex by commenting about money.

“[I] wanted to try to find a way to use this image and welcome them [and] at the same time to make a comment and a little public service announcement to everybody,” the Los Angeles artist said. “I wanted to use their saying and put ‘Wash Your Hands’ in there to update it with what’s going on with the COVID-19.”

The artwork can be found at the intersection of Franklin Avenue and Beachwood Drive in the Los Feliz neighborhood.

President Donald Trump previously took to Twitter to announce that the US will not pay for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s security if they’re going to live in the US.

"I am a great friend and admirer of the Queen & the United Kingdom,” the US President wrote. ”It was reported that Harry and Meghan, who left the Kingdom, would reside permanently in Canada. Now they have left Canada for the U.S. however, the U.S. will not pay for their security protection. They must pay!"

A spokesperson for the couple then noted that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were not planning to ask for security from the government. "The duke and duchess have no plans to ask the US government for security resources. Privately funded security arrangements have been made,” they said.
