Though the Obama family has long been out of the White House, they continue to be plagued with rumors. One of these is the allegation that the ex-president has a thing against Malia Obama's boyfriend, Rory Farquharson.

Malia, Obama's eldest daughter, is now a grown young woman. She is attending Harvard University and is dating her college mate Rory Farquharson. But according to a Globe story a few months ago, the former POTUS was frustrated with Malia because of her decision to marry Farquharson.

A source of the tabloid alleged that Barack's main issue with Rory is his British nationality. It added that Barack and wife, Michelle, also make fun of Rory's prep school education, which was in the United Kingdom. Then it cited Obama's Kenyan heritage as the primary reason for his alleged hatred of Britain, which colonized Kenya.

"Barack has confronted his daughter and told her in no uncertain terms he's not paying for the wedding! Judging by his reaction, he may not even walk her down the aisle," the insider claimed.

Gossip Cop went deeper on the Globe's claims about Barack and Michelle Obama's opinion on Malia's boyfriend. First of all, the former first daughter is not engaged to Rory, hence there is no wedding planning.

Second, the Globe contradicted its earlier report wherein it claimed that the Obamas have met Rory and they liked him. If that is true, it is in contrast to the tabloid's claim that Barack hates Farquharson because he's British.

Then there's a claim about "Brit-bashing Barack." Gossip Cop pointed out that there is no evidence that the ex POTUS has issues with the British now and during his term as United States president. However, there had been speculations that Obama hates Britain and it goes back to the beginning of his presidency.

It can be recalled that during the early days of his presidency, Obama sparked controversy when it was reported that the bust of Winston Churchill was removed from the White House. Boris Johnson, who was then the mayor of London, accused Obama that the removal of the Churchill bust symbolizes POTUS resentment against the U.K because of his Kenyan heritage.

The truth on the matter is that U.K. Prime Minister Tony Blair loaned the bust to President George W. Bush. It was returned to Britain as expected when Bush left office.

Lastly, Gossip Cop pointed out that the Globe had published too many ridiculous stories about the Obamas that made them the most unreliable source when it comes to the former first family. The tabloid earlier claimed that Malia got caught up in the college admissions bribery scandal last year. It also alleged that Barack and Michelle Obama were getting a $150 million divorce. All of these have been debunked as well.
