The war between former husband and wife Lee Tae Oh and Ji Sun Woo will get more intense in the upcoming The World Of The Married Episode 9. It looks like someone will start to doubt Tae Oh's loyalty.
Ji Sun Woo's (Kim Hee Ae) reason for joining the Gosan Women's Association will be revealed in the upcoming episode. In the teaser for Episode 9, the doctor is seen taunting Yeo Da Kyung (Han So Hee) about her husband, Lee Tae Oh (Park Hae Joon), and says joining the women's group is a warning to Tae Oh.
"How much do you trust your husband?" Sun Woo asks Da Kyung.
In the previous episode, Da Kyung paid a visit to Sun Woo at the hospital after the latter and Tae Oh had a confrontation at his office. Sun Woo told Da Kyung that she might not know what her husband is capable of.
In the upcoming episode, it looks like Da Kyung would start to doubt her husband. Tae Oh is seen in the teaser telling someone, possibly Sun Woo, not to drag his wife into their problem.
The World of the Married is the Korean adaptation of the British TV series Doctor Foster. It follows the married life of an accomplished medical doctor who seems to have a perfect life with her financially-struggling filmmaker and their son. Everything turns tragic in their perfect family life when she suspects that her husband is cheating on her and she carefully plans her revenge.
Meanwhile, it looks like Lee Tae Oh will have an awkward run-in with Sun Woo and Dr. Kim Yoon Ki (Lee Moo Saeng) at a restaurant. The filmmaker looks concerned that Sun Woo seems to be starting a serious relationship with her fellow doctor.
Tae Oh would get mad at Sun Woo for leaving their son alone at home. Yoon Ki, however, will defend Sun Woo and warn Tae Oh to stop meddling with his ex-spouse's life as she is no longer his wife.
Fans could expect a lot more surprises in the coming weeks as it hasn't been revealed what Tae Oh's real plan in returning to his hometown other than getting close to his son. The Episode 9 teaser also shows Tae Oh revealing to Sun Woo that he is not the only one who wants her out of Gosan. His return to the city could be a part of an intricate plan with the help of the people that Sun Woo thinks are her friends.
In the previous episode, the filmmaker had a conversation with his father-in-law, Yeo Byung Gyu (Lee Geung Young). The two talked about the donation that Tae Oh promised to give to the hospital but he wants Sun Woo out of the medical facility first.
During the conversation, it was revealed that Byung Gyu is the real owner of the TO Pictures and not Tae Oh. Da Kyung's father also warned Tae Oh that he has to execute their plan flawlessly if he would like to succeed.
The World Of The Married recorded its highest viewership ratings yet over the weekend. According to Neilsen, Episode 8 broke past the 20 percent barrier for its nationwide viewership. The World Of The Married Episode 9 airs on April 24 at 10:50 p.m. on JTBC.
