The latest details about the upcoming 2-in-1 machine from Microsoft come from an Energy Star certification. Based on a couple of Energy Star listings, the Redmond tech giant equipped the Microsoft Surface Book 3 with an Ice-Lake-U version. Additionally, it reveals that both the 13.5-inch and the 15-inch models run on the Intel quad-core i7 processor with a base clock at 1.3 GHz.
It is worth mentioning that Sine Energy has an excellent track record in terms of reporting accurate base clocks. In other words, the recent leak underlines that the upcoming Microsoft Surface Book 3 models could be housing the Intel Corei7-1065G7 processor. It is also possible that these processors could provide speed beyond the 3 GHz mark and go up to 4 GHz. Based on the description of the certification, the Ice lake processor of the Microsoft Surface Book 3 is based on the 10nm architecture.
