Prince William and Kate Middleton have ramped up their royal duties as Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles remained in isolation due to the coronavirus pandemic. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been increasing their efforts to support NHS staff and social carers’ mental health during the global health crisis.

While completing their royal duties, Prince William and Kate Middleton are also doing their jobs as parents to their three young children. In fact, the couple is homeschooling their older kids Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their children are currently staying at Anmer Hall in Norfolk during the lockdown. The family’s country mansion was a wedding present from Queen Elizabeth. They were told to enjoy their time at the place as they may not be able to do so in the future as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge take more royal duties.

"There are definitely some benefits to moving up in the ranks, like having access to income from the Duchy of Cornwall,” The Talko reported. "But not all of the changes will be fun for Prince William and Kate. They love spending time with their family in Anmer Hall, which was a wedding present from the Queen herself. But most of the time they reside in an apartment within Kensington Palace, which is a much more convenient location when it comes to performing royal duties… When Prince Charles takes the throne, it’s likely William and Kate will spend a lot more time in Kensington Palace instead of being able to escape to Anmer Hall."

A royal poll revealed that the public believes that Prince William should step up for Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles. The poll asked: “Should William act as stand-in King to save Queen from coronavirus risks?” and 87 percent of the voters answered yes. Only 249 (12%) out of 2010 voters said “no,” and 21 voters (1%) said, “don’t know.”

One voter pointed out that being the apparent heir to the throne, Prince Charles should be the one to stand-in for Queen Elizabeth during this global health crisis. "It should be Prince Charles, our rightfully decreed King-in-Waiting, who stands in for HM the Queen, should the need arise. Prince William must stay in-line. He'll be King one day. God Save our Queen,” they said.

But many noted that just like Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles’ age also put him in the category of most at risk of suffering severe complications from the coronavirus, which means Prince William is the one more suited to step-up for Her Majesty.
