Melania Trump celebrated her 50th birthday and received tens of thousand birthday greetings on social media including one from her husband, President Donald Trump. In his greeting via Twitter, POTUS called her the "great First Lady."

Like many people around the globe, United States First Lady Melania Trump also celebrated her birthday at home because of the coronavirus pandemic. The only difference is that she celebrated it at the White House. Aside from POTUS, Trump's eldest daughter, Ivanka, and Eric's wife, Lara, also shared a photo of FLOTUS and President Trump to give tribute on her special day.

Melania took to Twitter on Monday to thank those who sent their greetings on her birthday. She also expressed sympathy to those who missed to celebrate their birthdays or other special occasions with their loved ones because of the pandemic.

According to Melania's chief of staff Stephanie Grisham, the Trump family celebrated FLOTUS's birthday in quiet fashion at the White House. It was unclear who attended the celebration on Sunday.

Last year on her 49th birthday, Melania hosted a private dinner at the White House residence with Japanese Prime Minister Minister Shinzō Abe and his wife Akie Abe. Prior to Trump's victory in the November 2016 elections, Melania celebrated her birthday in a more glitzy manner. On her 46th birthday, Melania walked on the red carpet at the Time 100 Gala along with her husband.

Meanwhile, FLOTUS has been out of the public eye for the past month since the coronavirus spread in the country last month. Her last public appearance was on March 10 when she spoke about online bullying in front of a room of nearly 300 educators and children's advocates at the National Parent Teacher Association Legislative Conference.

Melania, however, remained active on social media. She shared several public service announcements from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on how to cope or avoid getting infected by the deadly virus.

FLOTUS finally came out last week as she and the president marked Earth Day by planting a tree on the South Lawn at the White House. The event, however, was slammed by some netizens after the First Couple ignored the social distancing guidelines by the CDC.

Trump and Vice President Mike Pence shared a shovel to plant the tree, so as Melania and Pence's wife, Karen. The photos and videos taken during the event showed there were only shovels used and those were not wiped down between being passed around. Moreover, the president and Melania were seen chatting in close circle with the Pences and some Cabinet officials after the tree planting.
