High-end specs, particularly in the camera department have been the notable perks that one would get from Xiaomi. And it appears a new one is on the way although it was tailored to the younger and energetic generation. The Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite Zoom Edition is another phone set to come out in China and something priced pretty decently at $299.

But what does a consumer get from a phone for that amount? The Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite Zoom Edition comes with pretty decent specs that include a 6.57-inch AMOLED display (2,400 x 1080) with a waterdrop notch upfront. Inside, it will be powered by a Snapdragon 765 5G SoC backed by at least 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite Zoom Edition will bank on a 4,160 mAh battery that should be good for a day's use. But even if the power levels decline, the device is supported by 20w fast-charging to make sure it is juiced immediately. As far as biometric security, the device will rely on in-screen fingerprint scanning.

As for the cameras, it does not fall short of expectations. At the front, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite Zoom Edition has a 16 MP main camera that should immediately appeal to people who love taking selfies. At the back, it comes with four cameras led by a 48 MP main camera. The others are an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, an 8 MP telephoto camera, and a 2 MP macro camera.

Of the four cameras, the 8 MP telephoto camera promises to bring something different. Most built-in cameras in phones are capable of 2X to 3X optical zoom. The Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite Zoom Edition can go up to 5X, the best one in the market right now. That also makes the device the latest phone to have the highest-performing periscope lenses, Slash Gear reported.

The base model priced at $299 will include 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. The price is pretty reasonable but the bad news is that the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite Zoom Edition will only be available in China. There is no word if it will be made elsewhere for now.

The aesthetic design of the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite Zoom Edition may not exactly appeal to professionals or business executives. Nevertheless, some may try it or even consider it as a secondary phone. Future buyers can also turn to phone casing to cover up the device - assuming they don't like the bright colors designed to appeal to yuppies.
