The past two seasons for Paul Pogba at Manchester United can be best described as tumultuous. The rumors persist he wanted out, and the Frenchman has been vocal about rejoining Juventus or leaving for Real Madrid. Those plans, however, will likely be shelved for now and, in large part, due to the coronavirus pandemic. It could mean too Pogba is staying.

The messages recently sent out by Juventus and Real were clear - big transfer deals are ruled out in the months and perhaps the years to come. The COVID-19 spread, still uncontrolled, made life difficult for football. Games remain suspended, and revenues have dried up, so the money is not available for both clubs to sign Pogba, whose transfer fee is said to be no less than £89 million.

"With Europe's elite clubs hunkering down and bracing themselves for the impact of the enforced hiatus, signings are the last thing from their minds right now ... Pogba's potential escape routes have seemingly vanished," Forbes reported.

It would seem that for Pogba, the best thing to do is to prepare to play for the Red Devils for at least one more season. And to do this, the World Cup winner has to do tons of work and top on his list is getting back to form, which the report said involves his mind and body.

And equally important is to re-engage the Old Trafford supporters. The last two years saw Pogba's reputation in England deteriorating, which the midfielder can repair by proving he can play excellent for United and perhaps win titles as intended for his expensive signing.

The arrival of Bruno Fernandes in January should be an inspiring sign for the 27-year-old Pogba, who has stated that his plan is to win with United. True enough, since Fernandes joined in, the club romped off to 11 consecutive wins, and Pogba was not even around.

The prospects are exciting for United when Pogba and Fernandes start working together on the pitch. Pundits are saying that with Scott McTominay, United's attacking force would be fearsome. For Pogba, that should be a solid motivation to play hard for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the element he was demanding for has been found.

United as a team is ready to win games, and Pogba could soon find himself lifting silverware.

The same optimism was expressed by United skipper Harry Maguire, who described his French teammate as "a phenomenal player."

"I'm sure next season and when we get going again he's probably going to impress me even more ... He's so big, so strong, so powerful he has absolutely everything," Metro reported the United team captain as saying.
