It appears things have just not fallen into place for former WWE star Alberto Del Rio. Also known in real life as Jose Alberto Rodriguez, the 42-year-old has been charged for sexually assaulting an unnamed female recently. But the things that went down were more disturbing.
In a report from News 4 San Antonio, it was revealed that Del Rio had sexually assaulted a woman last May 3. However, it appears that it was not the first time it happened with the accuser narrating past instances.
In the report, the woman bared how Del Rio was accusing her of infidelity. She denied any wrongdoing but this only enraged the WWE champion even more. The argument started late night on May 3 and lasted until the early hours of the following day. She also had photos to back her claim and said that Del Rio smashed her phone and laptop and went as far as threatened to burn her passport. The woman is Spanish, the only dialect she could speak.
The woman also alleged that Del Rio had attacked her with two hits to the head. Aside from that, the 42-year-old put a sock in her mouth so she could stay quiet. While in that state, she bared how Del Rio sexually assaulted her with his private and body parts. The woman says she never consented to having sex with Del Rio.
Throughout the commotion, Del Rio also allegedly threatened the woman that he would take her son and leave her in the middle of the road if she did not cooperate. Del Rio is now facing sexual assault and 2nd degree felony. His bail was set at $50,000 and was already out last Sunday. Del Rio has yet to issue a statement on the matter.
The recent development tied to the WWE star adds to his list of struggles. He failed to make it in the WWE, leaving the company back in 2016. He ventured into other wrestling outlets and even tried out the mixed martial arts scene. His last opponent was Tito Ortiz where he lost via submission in the first round.
Del Rio was previously married to Angela Velkei where he has three children. They divorced in 2016 but Del Rio says their marriage ended in 2015. The debate on the actual date of the divorce stems from the issue of another relationship El Patron had with another WWE star Paige. They went public with their relationship in May 2016, got engaged in October of the same year before splitting in 2017.
