Prince Harry is, reportedly, feeling rudderless without the company of his own friends in Los Angeles. A royal expert said that the Duke of Sussex is missing a lot of his own community in the U.K. and may need some structure to get his life back on track.

Katie Nicholl of Vanity Fair said that Prince Harry might be disheartened since he doesn't know a lot of people in Los Angeles, unlike his wife, Meghan Markle, who was born in the city. Nicholl said that on top of not having his friends around, Prince Harry also doesn't have a job thus he's missing that structure in his life.

Nicholl's comments echoes what a source told The Daily Beast that Prince Harry has been feeling at a loss in Los Angeles, especially with the lockdown orders in place due to the coronavirus pandemic. Apparently, the Duke of Sussex is shaken up by what is going but he knows that this is a temporary setback.

However, sources also said that Prince Harry has been talking to Prince William since the former's move to Los Angeles. Reports stated that the royal brothers have done video calls, especially after Prince Charles contracted COVID-19 in early April.

Prince Harry's reconnection with Prince William apparently helps appease his homesickness in Los Angeles. The reports also cite that their wives, Meghan and Kate Middleton, have eased down whatever tension went on between them.

This news comes as Prince Harry and Meghan are set to have a book released about their exit from the royal family. The biography, Finding Freedom, will apparently break down the actual details behind the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's decision to step back from their royal life, and settle the score of their alleged feud with the royals.

The book will be out in store shelves in August. It was written by royal journalists Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand to help the couple dispel the rumors and assumptions about their royal life. The authors were given clearance to follow the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for a few months for their book.

"The aim of this book is to portray the real Harry and Meghan, a couple who continue to inspire many around the world through their humanitarian and charitable work but are often inaccurately portrayed," the authors said in a statement. "Our mission has been motivated by a desire to tell an accurate version of their journey."
