JTBC's The World of the Married smashed cable rating records for its finale episode and raked in 28.27 percent of nationwide viewers. Meanwhile, Lee Min Ho's comeback drama The King: Eternal Monarch slumped to its lowest rating yet.

According to a report by All Kpop, prior to its finale performance, The World of the Married already surpassed its personal best record during its penultimate episode that aired on May 15. Actor Park Hae Joon, who played the role of the unfaithful husband Lee Tae Ho said that he still cannot believe the interest that the public showed for The World of the Married . Due to the success of the show, Hancinema  reported that The World of the Married will be airing two special episodes of the drama on May 22 and 23 on the same timeslot.

The special episodes will feature interviews with the actors, and special behind the scenes clips while filming the show. Viewers may find out the answers from some lingering questions about the characters' actions throughout the series.

While the final week of The World of the Married soared in the ratings, the same could not be said for Lee Min Ho's comeback drama with Kim Go Eun.

The fantasy drama The King: Eternal Monarch, slipped to 5.8 percent and 6.3 percent for its two parts when it was surveyed by Nielsen Korea on May 15. These were the lowest ratings posted by the SBS show since its premiere. The May 16 episode saw a slight increase to 6.4 percent and 7.8 percent for the episode's two parts.
