There is little doubt that the Transformers films are some of the most successful movie franchises in the past few years. However, it looks like some of the stars who worked on the films weren't exactly happy with director Michael Bay. For instance, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has just thrown shade at the Transformers: Dark of the Moon director. Interestingly, the model did so by comparing Bay to Mad Max: Fury Road filmmaker George Miller.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley only appeared in one Transformers movie but it may have been too much for the Victoria's Secret model. Her character Carly Spencer only showed up in Transformers: Dark of the Moon and was no longer brought back in the fourth film Transformers: Age of Extinction. But is it possible that Huntington-Whiteley decided against reprising her role in the franchise? The actress has revealed that her experience on Mad Max: Fury Road was very different from what she went through will working on Dark of the Moon.

The New York Times recently covered the fifth anniversary of Mad Max: Fury Road with an in-depth oral history on the George Miller film. In line with that, reporter Kyle Buchanan tweeted some interesting details about what happened behind the scenes. One of these tweets revealed how Rosie Huntington-Whiteley felt about working with Miller, which she compared to her experience on Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

"It's so funny, because I'd just come off this movie with Michael Bay, and I met George and I just remember feeling so relieved and protected," Huntington-Whiteley had said. "He was this cuddly, warm teddy-bear character who was so easy to talk to. I felt really safe with him, and that was the exact experience I was really looking forward to from a director."

Interestingly, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley also revealed that working on Mad Max: Fury Road was so enjoyable that she didn't want to go back to her regular life once production was over. "It took me a long while to shake the experience and get back to feeling like myself. To even put on my own clothes and jewelry again felt bizarre," she said.

In Mad Max: Fury Road, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley played the Splendid Angharad, one of the Five Wives who escaped Immortan Joe with the help of Charlize Theron's Imperator Furiosa. It is still unclear whether the character will show up in George Miller's planned Fury Road prequel film, which will focus on a young Furiosa.
