Epic Games made headlines recently, lauded for offering "Grand Theft Auto 5" as their free mystery game from May 14 to 21. Unfortunately, such caused problems for Rockstar Games as far as load management. The servers are down and this is likely to remain moving forward. Regardless, this has not kept them from continuing to render improvements on their end. Though "GTA V" is not one of them, Epic Games has now made it easier for subscribers to get refunds for games they are not satisfied with.

Refunds normally take a long time and undergo a long process. The new feature on a member's account should make things easier, provided it meets certain conditions. First is that the game intended for refunded must have been purchased within 14 days. Also, the said game to be refunded should have not been played for more than two hours. And most important, the person placing the refund needs to make sure that he did not violate any terms of service or banned from the games they are planning to refund.

For folks who are not affected by any of the aforementioned, all they have to do is head to their account's transaction tab. Simply locate the transaction which is to be refunded. Once clear, the payment made shall be returned to the payment method used. Be advised that depending on what payment method was used, it could take some time to complete the request.

Tied up to that, Epic Games is also laying down something new as properly identifying the person who owns a game. Some may experience during a launch process alerts where they would be informed on whether they own the game intended to be played or not. For those who are found not to own the game, they will be alerted to purchase the game at the store.

It appears that Epic Games is making key changes for account holders. Aside from the two new features, there is also another one called keyless integration for third party digital sales platforms. This feature was introduced last August, PC Game Insider reported. Another feature allows members to take control of their downloads. The new option will aid users who want better control of their bandwidth.

Seeing how the Epic Games site is now experiencing hiccups with high traffic caused by "Grand Theft Auto 5," it may be best to be patient for the ones who plan to check these new features out.
