Giannis Antetokounmpo is certainly a dream signing by any NBA team and why not. He is the reigning league MVP and is poised to win the award again with a season average of over 29 points per game. The Greek Freak is a reliable defender too so it's no secret that rivals are plotting to lure him out of Milwaukee, and the Raptors are among the top suitors.

Antetokounmpo is set for free agency in 2021 and expected to line up for his signature is Toronto. The team lost Kawhi Leonard after winning the NBA title versus the Warriors in 2019 and the performance so far is just plain impressive.

The Raptors have already racked up 46 wins before the season was suspended in March and it's quite obvious they plan to convince the Bucks superstar that in leaving Milwaukee, he is making the switch to a more capable team. Toronto is a solid title contender and that could prove a strong appeal to the MVP winner.

According to Bleacher Report, it is certain that Toronto will make a bid on the Bucks franchise player and the planned move is no secret at all. If the Raptors will advance deeper in the playoffs series, the Greek Freak will surely take notice.

There is a big chance that the defending champs will reach the NBA Finals and possibly score a win, and in such a case Antetokounmpo will be interested in offers coming from Toronto.

The report added the Raptors front office is well-positioned to bargain with the Bucks. Cap space is not an issue and only Pascal Siakam has a guaranteed contract, meaning Toronto has the flexibility to make an offer that will tempt Antetokounmpo.

But as mentioned, signing the rising NBA superstar will not be easy for Toronto as there will be competing proposals to come. The most serious intentions have been traced to Miami and Golden State. The Heat are said to be preparing early for the expected move on the Bucks forward.

The Warriors, however, are equally serious to get their hands on Antetokounmpo. It has been widely speculated that the team is actively wooing to convince the star to move for a switch with Stephen Curry leading the initiative.

There were reports that the Milwaukee star could join up with the Dubs and if that is so, credit goes to Curry. Antetokounmpo wanting to play for Golden State is actually him wanting to team up with the two-time MVP winner.

To ensure that winning Antetokounmpo over will be easier, Fadeaway World reported that the Warriors must be willing to put Klay Thompson on the table, per the recommendations of NBA insider Tom Haberstroh.

Haberstroh said the GSW giving up Thompson for Antetokounmpo is worth the sacrifice as the latter is brimming with potentials. The superstar is tipped to become a juggernaut in the coming seasons, likely winning MVPs and NBA rings along the way, so certainly a wise investment.
