Super Junior's vocal line  Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, and Yesung staged a successful comeback through their sub-unit Super Junior K.R.Y and topped the iTunes Top Album chart in 29 regions.

According to a report by Soompi, Super Junior K.R.Y's comeback album When We Were Us met tremendous success in countries like Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia Thailand, Japan, Singapore, Philippines, Hong Kong, Guatemala, New Zealand, Russia, Macao, Malta, Mexico, Bahrain, Bolivia, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Sweden, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Ecuador, Egypt, Chile, Kazakhstan, Colombia, Peru, and Panama. It easily reached No. 1 on the iTunes chart.

ELFs also had a global Twitter party when Super Junior K.R.Y. topped real time trending topics in Malaysia, Mexico, Singapore, and Indonesia. 

When We Were Us, which was released June 8, showcased the powerful vocals of Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, and Yesung is a poignant ballad that expressed a longing for someone they loved.

The sentimental track also featured lyrics that spoke of their times together.The trio will stage their first performance of the track on June 9 at 6 pm KST over the SMTOWN channel on Naver TV. Dubbed as Super Junior K.R.Y The Stage, the showcase will also feature performances of the other songs in the album including the b-side track The Way Back To You

In a recent interview, Yesung said that they have waited a long time to make their comeback as a subunit so he is thankful to fans who waited for them. Ryeowook shared a similar sentiment and said that the long wait made the album more special. He said he hoped that their songs will be able to receive a lot of love from listeners. 

Kyuhyun, the youngest member of Super Junior who only completed his mandatory service last year, said their comeback album will become their best present, especially after fans looked forward to it for a long time. 

It can be recalled that Super Junior recently concluded their Beyond the Super Show concert on the Beyond Live platform of VLive.

Featuring all the members of Super Junior except Kim Heechul, who begged off performing due to his leg injury, the concert was viewed by 123,000 users. The concert also received a total of 2.8 billion hearts from Super Junior's loyal ELF fandom. 

The performance included plenty of nods to Super Junior's 15-year career in the Kpop industry. Leeteuk, Shindong, Siwon, Yesung, Ryeowook, Kyuhyun, Donghae, and Eunhyuk also performed their most popular tracks over the years including Superman, Sorry Sorry, Mamacita, Devil, U, Black Suit, 2YA2YAO and Super Clap.
