Sony announced last week that it is postponing the PS5 reveal event indefinitely. While fans have mixed reactions about this, they understood that Sony was just giving way for the massive protest following the death of George Floyd. Interestingly, a new advertisement surfaced online, revealing that the postponed PS5 reveal event has a new schedule, and it is just a few days away.
A new PS5 advertisement recently surfaced on Twitch. It reveals the new date of the much-awaited PS5 reveal event that supposedly took place on Jun 4, 2020. According to the new ad, the first major reveal event would be on Jun 11, 2020, at 1:00 pm Pacific time or 9:00 pm BST.
Sony does not disclose more details about the PlayStation reveal event but simply invites fans to join the company for 'the future of gaming.' A recent report from Bloomberg mentioned that Sony Interactive Entertainment was planning to showcase at the said event titles releasing on its next generation gaming console. But, the report noted that the first reveal event might not yet unveil the full PS5 console.
It added that since the Japanese gaming console giant is planning to hold several PS5 reveal events as it nears the console's arrival, the unveiling might happen in the succeeding events. It is worth mentioning that Sony has not yet officially unveiled the PlayStation 5. Its rival Microsoft debuted the Xbox Series X in 2019 at The Game Awards.
Sony, meanwhile, launched the DualSense controller, the companion of the PS5. The official website of its upcoming gaming console also went live earlier this year. Sony also unveiled the official logo of the PS5.
However, it looks like the company is not yet ready to officially unveil the full hardware of its next future gaming console despite the industry's pressure. In a recent interview, Sony Interactive Entertainment President Jim Ryan said that the PS5 is still on track with its holiday 2020 release window. Ryan is also positive that PS5 could pull off significant sales amidst the current global health crisis caused by the coronavirus.

Sony is silent on what fans can expect at the upcoming PS5 reveal event. However, several industry insiders previously claimed that the event would showcase the upcoming titles launching on the PS5. A recent leak claimed that "Resident Evil 8" would debut at the said event alongside the horror title "Silent Hill." The schedule of the PS5 reveal event is just a few days away and fans might witness several gameplays of their much-awaited PS5 titles.
