Paulo Dybala has not exactly been performing well for Juventus, something that has led to speculation that he could be on his way out. Further compounding that belief is that several teams are interested in the services of the 26-year-old Argentine football player. And while most feel that moving out and joining any of those interested teams would be best for his career, Dybala prefers to handle his current performance in the old fashioned way.

First, the struggles of Dybala has been linked to the coming of Cristiano Ronaldo. With a proven star in the mix, the Argentinian found himself having to adjust and playing out of his comfort zone. That saw him score just five goals and issue four assists in 30 appearances, something that spurred potential transfer talk. Among the teams who expressed interest in him include Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham. Dybala admits that he was aware of the interest but opted to hold them off for now. For him, he has something to prove at Allianz Stadium first before considering a switch, CNN reported.

Most of these queries were done when Dybala was having a rough year with Juve. However, the 26-year-old has found renewed life ever since Maurizio Sarri came in to replace Antonio Conte in 2018. Now, he is performing better and his performance took a 360-degree turn. Since Sarri arrived, Dybala has accounted for 13 goals and 12 assists in 34 games.

"I hadn't had a good year or a positive last six months, so I didn't want to leave with that image because I think I had given the club a lot of nice moments and it wasn't fair that I went like this," Dybala said.

And that performance could be rewarded soon. It appears Dybala will be getting a contract renewal soon with reports that negotiations are going well. The Argentinian is reportedly being offered $14 million with the Serie A champions, Goal.com reported.

The sudden pitch comes not long after Dybala said that there was no contract extension offer handed to him by Juventus. He has an existing contract with Turin until 2022 and was not expecting to get a new lease due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But it appears he will get one anyway with things looking positive.

This development should put a halt on transfer rumors involving Dybala. His preference to prove his worth is going great under Sarri's watch and it appears the best is yet to come.
