Zara Tindall will not be able to compete in the Tokyo Olympics this year as the coronavirus pandemic pushed the event to 2021. But it will be the second time for Queen Elizabeth's granddaughter to compete in the international sports event, where she previously made Britain proud for winning a silver medal in 2012.

In an interview with Horse & Hound, the Queen's granddaughter said that representing Great Britain has always been a dream come true. She said that she takes pride in riding for her country and have had one of the best experiences as an equestrienne at the Olympics.

Zara said she loves the pressure of the competition and looks forward to aiming for something thus it saddened her that her goals have been disrupted this year. But while the Tokyo Olympics 2020 was postponed due to the public health crisis, the Queen's granddaughter has been spending much of her time training for the rescheduled event.

In fact, for this coronavirus isolation, Zara has been working hard with her horses. She said that she's actually pretty lucky to be on lockdown with her animals. She knows that of a lot of friends whose horses are based far away have had problems. It has been tough on both humans and animals as movements and travels are limited by the government's guidelines.

Fortunately, Zara lives at the vast estate of Gatcombe Park with her husband Mike Tindall and their two young girls. Mike has been spending more time with their children, including homeschooling their eldest daughter, as Zara kept on with her training.

The Queen's granddaughter developed her love for riding at an early age. Her mother, Princess Anne, is also an accomplished rider just like her grandmother, the Queen.

Speaking of the Queen, Horse & Hound also featured one of the favorite horses of Queen Elizabeth, who still actually gets up on a horse at 94 years old. The monarch has a 14-year-old horse named Fern, short for Fell Balmoral Fern. This animal is a Classic winner, which is a total pedigree. But the Queen also has a stallion named The Monster that's quite special to Her Majesty.

Meanwhile, Zara is not a working royal like her mother or her cousins, Prince William and Kate Middleton. She has, for the most part, pursued a sports career where she has gained endorsements and support from brands. She will likely receive more support once the next Olympics is in full swing.
