Paris Saint-Germain will enter a transition period in the summer, but according to sporting director Florentino, he is moving heaven and earth to keep French striker Kylian Mbappe on the roster, and the same goes for Neymar. The two PSG superstars have been the transfer targets of rivals in Europe, but Florentino insisted no one is leaving.

Neymar, for instance, has been plotting in the past transfer windows to reunite with Barcelona, but that is not happening this year. Florentino said the Brazilian's exit from Paris is no longer being discussed as of late.

Mbappe, on the other hand, is hot on the radar of Liverpool and Real Madrid. It's quite obvious though that the Frenchman getting out of Parc des Princes will not be allowed by PSG easily. As far as the club board is concerned, the PSG ace is the future for the French giants.

"Mbappe is the future of PSG. This is what everyone wants. The ideal scenario would be for him to extend his contract," Goal reported Florentino as saying, citing the PSG's official recent interview with a media publication in France.

Florentino added: "There's nothing that tells us they'll leave this summer."

The executive further revealed that he is looking for ways to make PSG attractive to both Neymar and Mbappe. He admitted that the French giants see the two as the most exciting player in the current generation, and likely the best candidates to take the place of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Florentino said the plan is to keep the tandem as long as possible in Paris and take advantage of the exciting partnership.

He noted that Mbappe is in his early 20s, while Neymar is only 28. The two superstars are predicted to explode in the coming years, winning club and personal honors, which Florentino said he hopes will happen while they are with PSG.

The two are tied up with the Parisians for two more years, and already, the club is thinking of ways to make that deal extend beyond 2022.

Neymar, for instance, has been restless in the past two years and vocal about his wish to play in La Liga again. Lately, however, the Brazilian has been silent on the topic, which for PSG is a welcome development.

"We've not talked about it anymore," Mirror reported Florentino as saying.

The executive added that Neymar seemed happy and more involved with the squad now. As PSG was declared the Ligue 1 title winner, the next target is to advance and win the Champions League this year, which likely will be resumed in August.
