A preview of Kate Middleton’s conference call with children of frontline and key workers was released, and fans of Meghan Markle were not happy about it. The Duchess of Cambridge discussed the importance of kindness and mental wellbeing as she led the virtual assembly for the Oak National Academy.
In the clip, Kate Middleton said that she wanted to talk about “the importance of being kind and looking after one another.” The Duchess of Cambridge then shared that she will join pupils at the Waterloo Primary Academy in Blackpool via a Zoom call to ask them about kindness.
After seeing the preview video, some supporters of Meghan Markle felt the need to share their thoughts about Kate Middleton’s topic of kindness. “Oh, really? She should have started that kindness from home by showing Meghan some bit of kindness," one wrote. “Practice what you preach,” another one shared.
Since the video was about urging people to be kind during this troubled time, many believed that the comments made by Meghan Markle’s fans to Kate Middleton’s heartfelt video were unnecessary. The two Duchesses have been heavily compared by their supporters for a long time, but this is certainly not the right time for that.
Liking someone more than the other person is a normal feeling. However, what made these royal fans unreasonable is the fact that they are creating a nonexistent feud. They believe in these speculations so much that they became very aggressive about it to protect Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle.
After Meghan Markle married Prince Harry, she has been constantly compared to Kate Middleton. Since the Duchess of Cambridge had already been a part of the royal family so much longer than Prince Harry's wife, she usually gets all the praises while the Duchess of Sussex is being criticized over anything.
These unnecessary comparisons led to rumors that Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle are feuding. While there are not enough proofs to confirm these claims, many are convinced that the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex are at war. In fact, Prince William and Prince Harry are also speculated to be less close than they were before because of their wives.
Unfortunately, we may not see the end of Kate Middleton vs. Meghan Markle as people enjoy talking about rivalries. Since juicy and controversial content would always get more attention than some happy news, media will never get tired of pitting the royals against each other.
