EXO's Sehun is poised to make is big screen debut with the star studded sequel to 2014's blockbuster movie, The Pirates.

SM Entertainment has confirmed that Sehun has been chosen as the final member of the cast for Pirates: The Goblin's Flag  which includes recent Baeksang Art Awards winner Kang Ha Neul, Han Hyo Joo, Kwon Sang Woo, and Chae Soo Bin. Sehun will also reunite with his Busted castmate Lee Kwangsoo for the acting project, All Kpop reported.

The news has excited the fans who have long pushed for the EXO maknae to venture into acting after he starred in Dokgo Rewind in 2018. Several members of EXO like like Suho, DO, and Chanyeol have also become suuccessful in acting for Kdramas and film.

For his first  film role, Sehun will take on the role of the archer who is well known for his skills and good looks. Production is expected to start mind July.

Meanwhile, EXO's Chanyeol has also been cast for the audio drama Pit a Pat, which is an adaptation of a webtoon of the same name. The audio drama will be streamed on Naver's AudioClip channel on June 18, Soompi reported.

In the story, Chanyeol will take on the role of Bae Soo Goo, a high school student who wants to become a swimsuit designer but hides his dream for fear of being judged. He will be joined by Lee Se Young  who will play the role of his love interest.

The audio cinema experience is expected to draw a lot of interest because it features the voices of the actors without any accompanying video. This puts a lot of pressure on the cast since they would have to convey strong emotions of their roles and take audiences on a journey using only their voices.

June and July are expected to be big months for both Chanyeol and Sehun, especially with the upcoming comeback of their sub unit EXO-SC.

The duo are expected to release their second album this July , as confirmed by SM Entertainment.

It can be recalled that rumors were swirling about the subunit's comeback after reports of a music video filming. However, it was earlier debunked as some reports claimed that it was only a shoot for an album jacket, Soompi reported.

It can be recalled that EXO-SC debuted as a subunit last year with What a Life, which earned positive reviews from local and international music fans. Chanyeol and Sehun also performed in different countries before the COVID-19 pandemic struck and public gatherings were limited to prevent the spread of disease.
