The Redmond-based tech giant Microsoft released on Jun 17 the first Windows 10 20H2 test build to Windows Insider testers. A day after, the company rolled out the build for Dev Channel testers. Microsoft now released the Windows 10 2021 Build 20150 ISO files from its development branch and is now available for download.

The ISO files of Windows 10 2021 Build 20150 are now available from the Windows Insider site. For those interested to download the Windows 10 ISO files, it is important that they are enrolled in the company's Windows Insider program. Those who are in the program can smoothly and directly download the ISO files on their device.

Included in the Windows 10 2021 Build 20150 are more improvements to the Windows Subsystem for Linux. It features WSL install, GPU compute, and WSL update. Microsoft added a new command, which is wsl-install that enables users to install WSL using a single command. The build returns to the rs_prerelease branch, following a little detour to the mn_release branch.

The latest build does not come with cosmetics or user-facing features, just like several Windows builds. Additionally, the Windows 10 2021 Build 20150 reflects that the company is now more focused on the enterprise, under the hood, and improvements that affect the developers. There is also the wsl-update that offers ease in managing Linux kernel version utilized by WSL 2 distros.

The last exciting WSL feature introduced in the latest Windows 10 2021 Build 20150 is the GPU compute, which enables Linux binaries to take advantage of the GPU. As a result, the device could do more machine learning development, as well as data science workflows directly in WSL. Apart from these, the latest Windows 10 2021 Build 20150 also updates the map data in the Maps app.

It can be recalled that the Bing Maps team earlier announced that they have begun rolling out the new Tomtom base map data to Microsoft first-party products as well as to Bing Maps gradually. As a part of this process, the Redmond tech titan is now slowly updating the Maps app for Windows Insiders in Fast Ring or Dev Channel. Microsoft is also testing the 20HS or Fall 2020 build through the Beta Channel, also known as the slow ring.

While it could be a minor update, it is anticipated that the Windows May 10, 2021, Update might introduce several major features.
