The Cupertino-based tech giant Apple expands the interest-free monthly payment program of Apple Card in most of its online stores in the US. The new program now allows users to pay for iPads, Macs, AirPods, and other products on a staggered basis. Apart from this new 0% payment scheme, Apple now offers the standard 3% Daily Cash for Apple purchases.
Earlier rumors about the Cupertino company's plan of expanding the products covered by the 0% payment plan of Apple Card turn out to be true. Right now, Apple Card allows users to purchase products like Apple Pencil, iPad, Mac, AirPods, and HomePods, on a monthly installment plan. Less expensive products line AirPods are available for six months payment scheme.
Most of the Apple products included in the 0% installment payment plan are eligible for a 12-month term. According to Apple, HomePod, Apple TV, and AirPod could be financed for six months without any interest. Other products like iPad and Mac, as well as their accessories, could be paid for a 12-month 0% interest payment plan.
Accessories include Pro Stand, Pro Display XDR, Apple Afterburner Card and Leather Sleeves for MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, and VESA Mount Adapter Kit for iMac Pro. iPad accessories like Smart Keyboard for iPad and iPad Air, Smart Keyboard Folio for iPad Pro, Apple Pencil, and Magic Keyboard are also eligible in the latest Apple Card payment program.
As mentioned earlier, Apple Card users who purchase Apple products using their cards will get the 3% cashback through the Daily Cash. Users could use it in their Apple Card bill, with Apple Pay, or by sending it to family and friends through iMessage. In 2019, Apple launched the Apple Card and later offered interest-free financing for iPhones through the iPhone Upgrade program.
In April, Apple CEO Tim Cook teased that the company will expand the interest-free payment plan of Apple Card. The latest program is a big leap considering that the company offered this scheme only to its iPhone. It looks like Apple is hoping to attract more consumers to sign up for its Apple Card by offering exciting payment plans.
