A series of leaks from industry insiders earlier confirmed that the iPhone 12 series has already finished undergoing going quality control and is now entering production. The Cupertino-based tech giant has not yet confirmed these details, but the industry is anticipating that it might launch the next flagship series in Sept or Oct 2020. With rumors that the iPhone 12 line up is closer to production, a new set of dummy images surfaced online, which could provide a design closer to what Apple would release.

The latest set of iPhone 12 dummy images was shared on twitter by Apple insider Sonny Dickson and was picked up by Macrumors. The images show three models of the rumored flagship iPhone 12, namely the 5.4-inch, the 6.1-inch, and the 6.7-inch. Dickson described the models sporting three rear cameras.

The tipster also claimed that the notch and the cameras should not be taken 100%. However, he noted that the iPhone 12 chassis is promising. Industry insider Ben Geskin seemingly disagreed with Dickson's dummy images of the upcoming iPhone. He claimed that the smaller-sized 5.4-inch has a dual-rear camera and not a triple-rear camera, as shown in the images.

But, it is worth mentioning that the chassis shown in the dummy images might be close to the final design of the iPhone 12 series. This includes the shape of the camera bump as well as the size of the models. Thankfully, based on the image, the upcoming iPhone series is not obscenely thick.

Another interesting takeaway from the dummy images is the locations of the holes and buttons along with the flat edges of the iPhone 12. Considering that these are critical to the design of the case, these should be final. The volume rockers are still located at the left part of the device facing the screen.

The opposite edge, meanwhile, houses the power button of the device. Moreover, the 6.7-inch iPhone comes with an indentation on the side. Some tech enthusiasts assume that this could be for the rumored mmWave 5G antenna.

Going back to Ben Geskin's claim, earlier reports suggested that the smaller 5.4-inch iPhone 12 model would sport a dual-camera setup at the back. This leaves the industry to doubt if the leaked dummy images are indeed close to the final design of the iPhone 12. Dickson, however, has been known to have leaked accurate information in the past.

It was the industry insider who previously leaked dummy models of the 2020 iPad Pro refresh. The tipster also earlier claimed that Apple's annual WWDC would show the new iMac with thinner bezels and iPad pro design language.
